I am the face and creative behind Red Beard Photo & Film. To me, photography and film is about more than documenting moments, it is about telling your story and holding on to how the day actually felt.
I have been photographing weddings since 2014, and I capture every celebration myself together with a small, regular team when necessary.

When capturing your celebration, there are three elements we focus on to tell your story.
We want your wedding photos and film to reflect you. Your personalities, your vibe as a couple. Less posing, more candid moments.
Wedding trends come and go. And while we’re certainly not against them, we want the overall look and feel of your images to feel timeless. Photos and videos that will still look good in 10, 20 years from now.
Weddings are about people. Your vibe, your tribe. We want you to enjoy your wedding day and not sweat the small stuff. Photos and videos that you can look back on with fond memories, knowing that you enjoyed the day to the fullest.

A signed service agreement plus a 50% non-refundable booking fee. The date is not held exclusively for you until that deposit reflects as cleared funds. The balance is due no later than 14 days before the wedding.
Final edited photographs and video are delivered within 8 to 12 weeks of the wedding, via an online gallery or cloud download link. A preview selection is often shared sooner. Please download and back up your own copies, we are not obliged to keep them indefinitely.
Yes. Drone footage is included in every wedding video and combination package, weather and venue permission allowing. Some venues restrict drone use, worth checking with yours early.
Each package includes a free travel distance, from 120 km on the Video Package up to 150 km on the Combination. Beyond that, travel and any accommodation for multi-day or destination weddings are quoted separately and agreed in writing before anything is incurred. We love to travel for weddings and are available across South Africa and beyond.
Tell us as soon as you can and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the new date. If we are available, your agreement simply moves across and no additional deposit is required. If we are not available, we will organise associate shooters to stand in for us on the day. We will still handle the editing.
Raw files remain our property, but they can be made available for purchase as an add-on to your booked package. Your final edit includes one round of reasonable revisions at no extra cost.
Copyright stays with Red Beard as the creator, in line with the Copyright Act 98 of 1978. You receive a perpetual licence to use, print and share the final edited images and video for personal, non-commercial purposes. We may use images for our portfolio and social media unless you opt out in writing, there is a tick box in the agreement.
At least 14 days before: an accurate timeline with ceremony and reception times and locations, any must-have shots or family groupings, and any venue restrictions on flash, drone use or vendor access. On the day, one person from the bridal party to help round up family.
